About this game
Heatwave: Sam's Stay opens with Sam ending up at Michael's house for his final summer before university. Michael is his mom's ex-husband, a man Sam hasn't seen in over ten years and doesn't have the fondest memories of. What was supposed to be a quick visit turns into something far more complicated as old resentment meets unexpected curiosity.
Built on 3DCG art with animated scenes as a gay male-protagonist visual novel, the game leans into the slow-burn discovery of what Sam actually wants while the people he meets that summer pull him in directions he didn't expect. CodyFord keeps the writing focused on the emotional shift rather than rushing to payoff.
